D. Keith Johnson, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Johnson is an experienced executive who has managed financial service companies through several high growth and downturn cycles. His combination of cycle management and hands-on experience in accounting, capital markets and securitizations, operations, residential and commercial lending makes him a unique leadership talent. Previously, Mr. Johnson was a senior executive of Bank United, one of the original Southwest Plan institutions created from the Texas S&L crisis. From 1986 to 2000, Mr. Johnson served in a variety of roles - from CFO and Managing Director of Capital Markets to President of Mortgage Operations. From 1988 to 2000, Bank United grew from approximately $4 to $21 billion in assets. In 2000, Bank United was sold to Washington Mutual ("WaMu"), which recruited Mr. Johnson to be the Chief Operating Officer of their newly formed Commercial Lending Segment. In 2006, Mr. Johnson was recruited to become President and Chief Operating Officer of Clayton Holdings, Inc., where he was responsible for the strategic direction, management and operations of the businesses that comprise Clayton. And in 2008, Mr. Johnson sold Clayton to a Connecticut based private equity firm and acted as a consultant advisor to Clayton until July 2009.


Eric Lindner, Executive Managing Director

Eric R. Lindner is an Executive Managing Director and one of the founders of Helios AMC, now Situs Holdings, LLC.  Previously he was an Executive Vice President of GMAC Commercial Holding Corp. (now known as Capmark Finance Inc.). He was also an Executive Vice President of GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corporation (GMACCM).  


Mr. Lindner has extensive expertise in real estate finance and the asset management industry both domestically and internationally.  His professional background includes working with Equitable Life Assurance in their Real Estate Investment Department, as well as Bank of America Mortgage Company, where he was a Senior Vice President responsible for the origination and management of 1,500 real estate-secured credit facilities, representing total commitments of approximately $3 billion.  In 1986, he became the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Federal Asset Disposition Association, responsible for approximately 40 assignments representing 3,000 real estate-related assets consisting of REO, both fee and leasehold interests, as well as performing, non-performing and restructured loans.  Mr. Lindner then co-founded Carriger Capital, Inc., a real estate investment banking, advisory and management company.  Mr. Lindner was a co-founder of the Hanford/Healy Asset Management Company from its formation in 1991 until the sale of substantially all of the assets of Hanford/Healy Asset Management Company to GMACCM in September 1996. At GMACCM, Mr. Lindner was responsible for global asset management and investing activities.  He oversaw GMACCM’s special servicing unit, its distressed asset investment and management business, and was the president of GMAC Institutional Advisors, the Company’s wholly-owned real estate investment advisory business.  Mr. Lindner holds a B.B.A. in Finance and Economics from the University of Oregon and attended Harvard Business School's Program for Management Development.


Steven J. Powel, President - North America

As President of the North American platform, Mr. Powel is responsible for business line operations as well as business development efforts. Since 1996, his involvement and leadership has served as the catalyst for the company’s growth and reputation, as one of today's preeminent financial service providers to the capital markets and banking industry. Under his unique guidance and expertise as a logistical engineer, Situs has been able to deliver consistent, high-quality advisory services in an affordable cost efficient business model. Recognizing the value of training and professional education, Mr. Powel has been instrumental in the development and implementation of a structured in-house educational platform, Situs University, which is now a recognized stand-alone business line. He spearheaded Situs Staffing Solutions, a temporary and permanent staff augmentation solution that supports numerous Situs’ clients around the world.


Mr. Powel's introduction of technological advances to Situs led to new CRE applications, which then, greatly improved processes and enhanced client efficiencies throughout the full life cycle of the loan. He is involved as a Strategic Advisor to CJC Technologies, creator of CLOSER, Commercial Loan Origination & Asset Management software. Mr. Powel formerly served on the Client Advisory Boards of both Cushman & Wakefield Valuation & Advisory Group and Argus Software. Further, he is currently an active member of MBA, CREFC and other industry-related groups.   


Bruce Nelson, Chief Operating Officer

As COO, Bruce Nelson directs the platform operations of The Situs Companies and is actively involved in many aspects of the company’s asset management, due diligence, loan underwriting and consulting services in North America. He has direct responsibility for all Situs Asset Management activities with particular focus on all special servicing. Additionally, Mr. Nelson has credit oversight related to highly structured loans, preferred equity investments, B-piece analysis and loans involving repurchase lines of credit. Mr. Nelson has extensive experience in special servicing, including specialty property types such as restaurants, convenience stores and gas stations, residential subdivisions and golf courses. Prior to joining Situs, Mr. Nelson worked as a regional manager for Parallel Capital where he was responsible for all underwriting, due diligence and loan originations and closings in the southern United States.

Mr. Nelson also worked previously as the president of Ranger Realty Group, a diversified real estate company that offered a complete spectrum of workout and lending services to the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and other investors handling troubled portfolios. Such services included asset management, property management, property analysis, leasing, brokerage, construction and development services. Mr. Nelson has also served as an advisor to water districts, housing agencies and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He earned a B.S. in finance from the University of Houston and passed the CPA exam in 1993.


Zenobia Tambuvala, Executive Managing Director

Ms. Tambuvala oversees and manages the global operations of Situs Realty Services, which provides due diligence services to lenders, equity investors and rating agencies.  Ms. Tambuvala is also actively involved with Situs University, Situs’ education curriculum offered both internally and to clients. She has been actively involved in the commercial real estate industry for more than 20 years as a consultant and appraiser. Throughout her career, Ms. Tambuvala has consulted on commercial real estate transactions totaling more than $150 billion throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.


Prior to joining Situs, Ms. Tambuvala worked as a senior appraiser for the Miami-based firm of Blazejack & Company as well as Pannell Kerr Forster where she specialized in appraising hospitality and senior living facilities. Ms. Tambuvala has been involved in property and loan valuation, feasibility analyses, highest and best use studies, valuations, market demand studies and consulting on various types of commercial properties. Ms. Tambuvala is a former Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and earned an M.S. in hotel management from Florida International University.


John Weaver, Managing Director - Dedicated Platforms

Mr. Weaver has over 25 years of experience in Real Estate Finance and Investment. Previously he held the position of Chief Credit Officer and Chief Risk Officer of GMAC Commercial Mortgage/Capmark Finance Inc. Prior to this he was a Senior Vice President in the Real Estate Banking division of PNC Bank.


Steven Bean, Managing Director - Situs Outsourcing Solutions

As a Managing Director, Mr. Bean directs the due diligence services provided by the company’s North Carolina and Arkansas offices and co-directs the due diligence services provided by the company’s New York office. He has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate transaction services with a focus on due diligence products and services. These services include commercial real estate loan portfolio analysis, loan due diligence/underwriting/valuation support, offshore operations management and commercial real estate asset management support. Prior to joining Situs, Mr. Bean worked as a senior vice president for Global Realty Outsourcing for three years where he managed sales and operations of the capital markets division, which focused on providing transactional services supporting the equity placement and financing of commercial real estate through the use of on- and off-shore operations. Such services included loan underwriting, acquisition and disposition support, due diligence, data aggregation, valuation, lease abstracting and accounting services.

For seven years, Mr. Bean was also a principal and senior managing director of GMACCM Mortgage-Ramp, and its predecessor, Univest Financial Services, where he consulted on the disposition, acquisition, asset management and servicing of diverse loan portfolios including managing over 75 CMBS transactions (seasoned and newly originated conduit loan portfolios as well as fixed and floating rate securitizations), three RTC securitizations, numerous property inspections and valuations and a 5,000 loan FDIC ARM audit.  He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts.


John Maute, Senior Managing Director - Special Servicing

Mr. Maute has over 28 years of commercial real estate industry experience. Previously he was Executive Vice President of GMAC Commercial Mortgage’s Distressed Investment and Asset Management Division. He was Portfolio Manager of Hanford/Healy’s RTC $1.2 billion SAMDA portfolio when the company was acquired by GMAC Commercial Mortgage in 1996. He managed the FSLIC Non Performing Loan Department, Western Region in the late 1980s.


Richard Joe, Managing Director - Asset Management

As Managing Director, Mr. Joe is responsible for managing The Situs Companies’ US loan servicing platform.  He joined The Situs Companies in March 2011 as a member of the senior management team.  He has over 24 years experience in commercial loan servicing and is knowledgeable in the CMBS markets in the US, Europe and Asia. He is also well versed with Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA and life company servicing requirements


Prior to joining The Situs Companies, Mr. Joe was an Executive Vice President at Berkadia Commercial Mortgage LLC where he served as a member of the Executive Committee. He was responsible for overseeing the North American commercial loan servicing operations.  His international experience includes the development and management of Capmark Finance Inc’s servicing platforms in Japan, China and the Philippines. Mr. Joe joined GMAC Commercial Mortgage in 1996 and spent more than 14 years with the organization.  He began his career in mortgage banking in 1987 with GE Capital Asset Management where he spent nine years in various management positions within commercial servicing division.


Mr. Joe holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Houston.  He is also an active member of the MBA, CREFC and other industry-related groups


Jan Sternin, Managing Director - Strategy & Communication

Jan Sternin has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and is currently responsible for business development across the Situs platform.  Ms. Sternin previously served as Senior Vice President of Commercial and Multifamily for the Mortgage Bankers Association and CEO of MISMO, the MBA’s technology initiative for creating uniform data standards for the real estate finance community.


Prior to her tenure at the MBA, Ms. Sternin held the position of Senior Vice President at Midland Loan Services where she spent 15 years responsible for the oversight of marketing and sales activities for Midland’s commercial loan servicing, asset management, and advisory services to institutional and private investors in the U.S. and abroad. Ms Sternin has also worked with numerous governmental agencies including the Resolution Trust Corporation, Office of Thrift Supervision, Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation, and the Federal Home Loan Bank System.  She has served on the MBA’s Commercial Board of Governors and on the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association Board in both the U.S. and Canada.  Ms. Sternin earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Baker University, and a M.B.A. from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.  Ms. Sternin also holds the Certified Mortgage Banker designatio


Anne Jablonski, Managing Director - Situs Consulting Solutions

As Managing Director of Situs Consulting Solutions LLC, Anne Jablonski develops staffing solutions addressing short-term work flow situations and solving corporate employment issues related to hiring long-term, permanent employees.  Ms. Jablonski has more than 15 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, first as a commercial appraiser and then as a consultant; she has worked on an array of commercial real estate consulting assignments throughout the United States, Caribbean, and Latin America. 


Prior to joining Situs, Ms. Jablonski worked in the acquisition/disposition group of Houston-based Gencom American Hospitality, a privately owned company specializing in the acquisition, ownership, and management of hotel properties throughout the United States.   Ms. Jablonski also worked for Ernst & Young where she was involved in feasibility analyses, valuation, and consulting engagements for a variety of commercial property types including office, retail, multi-family, hotels, and senior-living projects.  Ms. Jablonski earned an MBA from the University of Dallas.


Angela Hitzman, Managing Director - Global Human Resources

As Managing Director – Global Human Resources, Angela Hitzman is responsible for the company’s global human resources operations, including life cycle human capital processes and procedures, compensation planning, payroll, health and welfare benefits structure,  performance management,  recruiting/ hiring and retention, and career development initiatives. Ms. Hitzman has more than 30 years experience internationally in establishing human resources and staffing teams, supporting employees and business leaders, developing benefits programs, conflict resolutions and organizational development. 


Prior to joining Situs, Ms. Hitzman was the EVP of Human Resources with a Fortune 100 company responsible for life cycle human capital  management for 38,000 employees in more than 350 locations.  Ms. Hitzman has worked in Europe, North America and the Far East and holds an MBA and a BS from the University of London. She is also a GPHR, a member of ACIR and a Certified Birkman Trainer; and has MIPM, CIPD and MIEC Certifications from Europe.
